hyperism VIOLET

Hyperism Color Series (Red 2017, Blue 2018, Violet 2019) will end with the theme of 'Love'.
If you have been criticizing and experimenting with contemporary phenomena through existing works, "Violet" talks about the story of Adam and Eve in Chapter 1 of the Bible's Genesis, where the first human sin began. It is a story behind beautifully wrapped love and completed the work with the imagination of "Adam and Eve dancing in the sky" to express the first love and original sin of humans in the sky." During this period, the artist explores the social problems of the world and moves to Europe to expand her artistic horizons. In particular, through various experiences in France, social phenomena are found in human nature by encountering various cultures and people, and "Violet," the US of the Hyperism color series, has been completed. The artist communicated directly with local contemporary French dancers and local staff to enhance the completion of "Violet."

What is love?

They say love is beautiful. However, there are secrets behind all the beauty existing in this world. Can perhaps love packaged by beauty be the origin of all sins? We hurt others and are hurt by them by using our own weapons and shields on the grounds of protecting our families and friends that we love and ourselves. Love packaged by beauty creates another secret and becomes the beginning of another sin. We say love is the most beautiful thing but at the same time, it makes us sin the most. I created Violet by imagining how Adam and Eve would have repeated love and pain if they had danced together in the heavens. As the violet bruise soon fades away and turns into a bruise when it is wounded again, love and pain repeat like that in a violet world covered with wounds. What is love?
